The Brook is the Largest Charity Casino
Recently, The Brook unveiled new games, dining options, a showroom, and more. Following a multi-year, multi-million dollar expansion and remodel, The Brook is now the Largest Charity Casino in America. Let’s take a look at how this happened.

The History of Seabrook Greyhound Park
The Brook is a 75-acre property located just over the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border, redeveloped by Eureka Casino Resorts,
Seabrook Greyhound Park has been a destination for live racing, off-track betting, and charitable casino gaming since 1973. Originally, Seabrook Greyhound Park was only supposed to be a seasonal track, but resident interest was higher than expectations. In addition, the revenue needed for New Hampshire at the time persuaded the owners to keep it open year-round.

Seabrook Greyhound Park pioneered a rewards program for visitors, such as giveaways, door prizes, and low-cost getaways for couples. Other race tracks and casinos have emulated these Reward trips throughout the world.

The Transformation
In May, The Brook was the first casino in New England to debut historical horse racing machines with very familiar themes to slot players. They include:
- Quick-Hits,
- Blazing 7’s,
- Wolf Run
- Buffalo,
- Buffalo Gold,
- Buffalo Chief,
- Mighty Cash
- Double Up
- Lucky Tiger, and
- Gold Stacks 88 Dancing Foo,
However, these machines are not Las Vegas-style Class III machines. However, they add unique pari-mutuel connectivity and stay consistent with the roots of the former race track.

“With these new games, dining options, and showroom, we have all the amenities of other regional casinos in Maine and Massachusetts,” said Andre Carrier, The Brook’s CEO and creator, born and raised in New England. He was previously COO of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas after holding senior leadership roles at iconic Las Vegas companies like Mirage Resorts and MGM.
“One of the things that makes the Brook really stand out is just how approachable it is. It’s very easy to get here and with our wonderful remodel and people, easy to enjoy.”

Sportsbook
In addition to the casino games, The Brook is home to New England’s largest off-track betting facility and Sportsbook. The DraftKings Sportsbook features a massive 500-seat sports bar and grill, indoor stadium and outdoor deck viewing environments, four massive cinema screens, and more than 200 other televisions.

Charity Gaming
Since 2019, The Brook has donated funds to more than 75 New Hampshire charities on a rotating basis, totaling more than $5 million.
“The Brook’s passion and enthusiasm to give back and support the children of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire have been deeply touching and impactful,” said Julie Baron, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. “Because of The Brook, children in New Hampshire can find joy, hope, and power in one simple wish. In addition, their overall support of the many charities they work with shows how committed they are to making a difference in our community.”
The Entertainment
A complete entertainment destination, the property also has a luxurious and intimate showroom and will launch its entertainment schedule of comedians, tribute bands, and headliners in mid-July. In addition, The Brook has multiple meeting spaces and a new grand ballroom ideal for everything from charitable fundraisers to class reunions, weddings, and anniversaries.

“(The Brook) is a hidden gem starting to shine, and they are just getting started. I bet you will be impressed. My friends are when I take them there for the first time,” said regular guest Tim K. “My favorite part is grabbing some great food and going down into the stadium seating area where there are private sections with leather couches and multiple screens; per section.”
Eureka Casino Resorts, the only 100% employee-owned resort casino company in America, owns The Brook. Eureka is the creation of Carrier and long-time business partner Greg Lee, which also owns Eureka properties in Mesquite and Las Vegas.
“The purpose of Eureka as a company is to be a beacon and show that people and profits can not only successfully coexist, but they can thrive,” said Carrier. ‘Eureka has completely revitalized and reinvented as a thriving employee-owned entrepreneurial venture that serves our guests, employees, and community.”
