Resouces for Gambling Part 2 Bacarat

Before I post about baccarat, I need to make an important note here.

Although I haven’t mentioned it I should warn you to not waste your money buying books or systems that claim to have a sure fire way to always win. All systems are scams as there is no way to consistently beat a game that has a negative expectation – a house advantage.

Now, I’ve never played Baccarat. It’s one of those “I don’t want to look stupid in front of people I don’t know” games. It used to be the game of the rich, the game of high-rollers – found in the high limit pits. In the 1980s, casinos began to reach out to the average customer with $10 for a minimum bet, even $5 in some casinos, so anyone can play the game of the “whales.”

Baccarat comes closer than most other casino games to offering the customer an even break, with house edges of just 1.17 percent for a bet on the banker hand and 1.36 percent for a bet on the player hand. Blackjack players who use basic strategy do better; as do video poker players with refined skills. But baccarat is a game with no playing strategies to master. The average baccarat player is at less of a disadvantage than average blackjack or video poker players.

The following are suggestions found on many sites, and from friends of mine who actually play baccarat.

BOOKS
There are two books that should cover all levels of experience:
The Baccarat Battle Book: How to Attack the Game of Baccarat by Frank Scoblete
One of the most popular gamingg writers, Frank Scoblete has written yet another great book with The Baccarat Battle Book. He covers all aspects of the game and also includes information on how to make sure you get the most out of every baccarat session.

Baccarat for the Clueless by John May
This book is aimed at beginners and pros alike. John May gives detailed information on the rules of each of the variations as well as a range of playing tips and strategies. His card counting section is an interesting read and is a must if you love playing baccarat to win.
