We haven’t covered a lot of Entertainment News in New England’s Casinos of late simply because it would double the time it takes for this blog. So, in an effort to support the vbarious entertainment venues and “happenings” in our 7 casinos, I thought we would get back to a monthly look at the months exciting entertainment options. This is by no means complete list, but it will highlight the NETG picks for the month of April.

Olivia Newton-John – Friday, April 14, 2017, 8:00pm at Twin River – I saw her show in Las Vegas, her latest residency, and it was spectacular. She hasn’t slipped a beat! With a career spanning over five decades and more than 100 million albums sold, Olivia Newton-John’s successes include four Grammys, numerous Country Music, American Music, Billboard and People’s Choice Awards and more than 15 top 10 singles with 10 being #1 Hits. Doors open at 7pm, show at 8pm. All ages welcome!
The Pointer Sisters, Friday, April 21, 2017 8:00pm, at Twin River – The Pointer Sisters went on to achieve worldwide fame and have secured a place in pop music history as a dynamic female group. Their 1973 debut album gave us the singles, “Yes We Can, Can,” which reached #11 on Billboard magazine’s pop singles chart. Performing hits like ‘I’m So Excited’ and “Jump (for my love).”
Kelley Lennon – Twin River Lighthouse Bar – our pick is full of nostalgia. Kelley Lennon, Sunday, April 23, 2017 2:00pm. Kelley Lennon brings a fresh, exciting attitude to the works of Irving Berlin, Gershwin and other classic writers of the American Songbook.
Chicago Total Access, NEWPORT GRAND – Our pick for Newport Grand is HUGE – New England’s premier tribute to the band, Chicago. This is a hi-energy, explosive show band dedicated to covering the band’s catalog that spans over 45 years. The audience will have “total access” to the music of Chicago. THIS Saturday, April 8, 9:00pm in the Event center
Foxwoods Cirque Eloize Cirkopolis Behind the Scenes Family Experience April 11 • 12:15pm • Fox Theater. – Treat you and your children to an interactive behind-the-scenes experience with the cast of Cirque Éloize Cirkopolis. Walk the Red Carpet and be greeted by a cast of clowns as you enter the Fox Theater. Get the inside tips on the practice of juggling and aerial acrobatics. Everyone will have a chance to ask questions and have their picture taken with their favorite character. Space is limited to 250.
Foxwoods – Steve Winwood. This iconic vocalist, composer and keyboard player continues to be relavent from his beginnings with “Traffic” in the sixties to now. Grand Theater. Tickets are $55 & $35 on Apr 28, 8:00PM. Opening for the Show – Lilly Winwood – an Americana artist from Nashville and daughter of Steve Winwood.
Mohegan Sun – a must see for you Hair Band Fanatics – Def Leppard with special guests Poison and Tesla at Mohegan Sun Arena, Wednesday, April 12th 2017 7:00pm
