Yes, Food Trucks are all the craze these days. A food truck is a large vehicle equipped to cook and sell food. In my day, they included the Good Humor Man ice cream trucks, or the kind that stopped and still today, at many manufacturing plants like my mom & dad’s, and businesses throughout America for morning breaks, lunch and afternoons selling frozen or prepackaged food. In the United States, the Texas chuckwagon was a precursor to the American food truck, helping cowhands in the later 1800s herding cattle from the Southwest to markets in the North and East kept.
In recent years, food trucks offer gourmet cuisine and a variety of specialties and ethnic menus – becoming a favorite and particularly popular way to eat at festivals and events of all kinds.
The New England Food Truck Festival is coming to Mohegan Sun on September 3rd and 4th. The New England Food Truck Festival at Mohegan Sun is a two-day event being hosted in the Winter Parking Lot at Mohegan Sun. This weekend event is so much more than what it sounds like.
This festival will feature dozens of food trucks, live music, entertainment for kids, face painting, field games and much more. A truly unique event where you can linger until you have sampled all the best the venders have to offer.
And while you’re there, don’t miss the firework show at 9:15pm.
