&First, the Bad News – According to Mainebiz, both casinos saw a drop in revenue in 2014. According to Patrick Flemming, director of the state’s Gambling Control board hinted to the novelty of gaming up north leveling off. Hollywood Casino in Bangor showed a $10 million decline, and Oxford Casino showed a $15 million decline in one year. Certainly the terrible weather of this year, and possibly the opening of Massachusetts first casino in Plainville would continue the decline. So much for talk about a third casino in Maine.
