Craft Beer Drinkers Are All Winners At Race Book’s Thomas Hooker Brewery Opening

For this Friday Night, the Race Book at Mohegan Sun celebrated the new Thomas Hooker Brewery at Mohegan Sun and all beer drinkers were winners. Great beer, new friends – what else could you ask for?

When the Race Book opened in 2007, it originally had its own brewpub. In 2010, the tanks weren’t used – until Curt Cameron, president of Thomas Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield, CT, persistently pitched his idea for the Hooker Brewing Test Kitchen. Cameron told Sun representatives “We think it would behoove you to put our name on it [brewing tanks].”

Because they are able to make smaller batches, Hooker Brewing can be free to experiment more with their test brews every month, to augment their six constant brews and seasonal brews.

Upcoming events will include “Final Friday,” celebrating the last Friday of every month featuring the introduction of a new custom-crafted beer. “Beer is not a habitual drink anymore,” said Cameron. “It’s about what’s new and different.”

What’s new and different is the Thomas Hooker Brewing Test Kitchen, a terrific addition to the CT casino scene.

That’s all for now.
